Dr. Amy Fernandez is an optometrist who practices at Ohio Eye Care Consultants with Dr. Thomas Chi and Dr. Carrie Balthaser. She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and received a Doctor of Optometry degree in 2002. She received her undergraduate degree from Ashland University. Dr. Fernandez began practicing in 2002 at Eye Care of Medina and is continuing to serve the Medina county communities at Ohio Eye Care Consultants.

Dr. Fernandez provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. She practices primary eye care as well as treatment and management of ocular diseases and emergencies. Dr. Fernandez also performs LASIK consultations and comanagement of surgical patients. Her professional interests include contact lens fittings, specifically specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Fernandez is actively involved in several community and professional organizations. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association. She recently served as Secretary and Zone Governor of Zone 3 of the Ohio Optometric Association and is currently an active board member. She is also a member of the Medina Senior Services Network. Dr. Fernandez resides in Wadsworth with her husband. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and snow skiing.
